Award winners 2018

Both Universities were recognized at the OPT Awards 2018, with Oxford Brookes University receiving a plaque for their work, alongside the Department of International Development at Queen Elizabeth House and the Big Data Institute for the University of Oxford.  The Colleges were there too with the Worcester College Dining Hall, and The Queen’s College New Library. Leading architects Wright & Wright were also recognised for their contribution to the town at 4-5 Queen Street & Quinlan Terry Architects for their clever re-ordering and integration of a new gallery and staircase at St Ebbe’s Church

In the County the community at Beckley were delighted to receive their award for their new Village Hall and Hook Norton Brewery, for the refurbishment of their former malthouse into a restaurant. 

Access for all was a recognised theme as Keble College received their award for their clever lift inserted into their historic Dining Hall and County Transport officers celebrated their work on the Broad Street junction outside the Weston Library creating a more accessible and user-friendly space.

Eleven certificates were also awarded; Magdalen College Hall, Brasenose College Greenland Library, St John’s Garden Quad Auditorium, 6-8 Park Town, 40 Park Town, 1-3 Rawlinson Road, d’Overbroeck’s Sixth Form Centre, Perrodo Project at St Peter’s College, Hands Buildings and Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at Mansfield College, Matthew’s Building at St Peter’s College and South Oxford Community Centre.
