The OPT Awards
Each year, the OPT Awards recognise the contribution that outstanding conservation and new design makes to Oxford’s character, its streets, its green spaces and its communities. From exceptional new buildings and major conservation projects, to small interventions, refurbishments and temporary installations- all can enhance our city and the experience of living here.
Awards Today
Projects don’t have to be big to be considered for an OPT Award. Anyone can enter a project, whether you are the owner, architect, consultant, occupier, or a local resident. Just make sure you have the owner’s consent. There are 6 Categories, so there is something for everyone: Building Conservation, New Buildings, Small Projects, Landscape & Public Realm, Temporary Projects, and the Green Award.
Projects must be located in Oxford or its green setting and must either allow public access or make a positive contribution to the public realm.
Judging Panel
Our Judging Panel is appointed as a cross section of local people with a wide range of skills and knowledge of Oxford.

Green Award
Climate Change is one of the most significant and fastest-growing threats worldwide. As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, we introduced a new Green Award for 2020. The Green Award recognises the importance of sustainability within the heritage industry and is awarded to the entry (from any category) that best exhibits these qualities.
